MISSION

The purpose of the Austin Hemerocallis Society, a non-profit organization, is for educational and scientific purposes. The society seeks to encourage and foster the development and improvement of the daylily and to foster public interest and knowledge of the species for home and civic beautification.

community involvement

The Austin Hemerocallis Society is affiliated with the American Daylily Society, Region 6 and the Austin Area Garden Council. Here are a few examples of the society's activities

  • Annual AHS-accredited daylily shows at the Zilker Garden Center

  • Proud participant in Zilker Garden Fest

  • Austin Area Garden Council member

  • Guest speaker at AAGC club meetings

  • Care and maintenance of the Daylily display beds at Zilker Botanical Garden

  • Donation of daylilies to public gardens

  • AHS Gold member club (90% membership in AHS)
