Garden Tours - six private gardens, three on Friday and three on Saturday. We are especially excited about our unique venues for our tour lunches. We have secured the Lake Jackson Historical Museum for “Lunch at the Museum.” The museum building was designed by local architect Raymond Burroughs and contain exhibits on local history from the Karankawa Indians, through the Plantation Era, and then the founding of modern Lake Jackson, with information on the local petrochemical Industries. There’s a fully operable locally designed aircraft (Windecker Eagle, the first composite aircraft) suspended in the interior, as well as an exhibit about Selena, the Hispanic recording star from Lake Jackson. At the time of our Regional Meeting, there will be a special exhibit in the rotunda commemorating the Diamond Anniversary of the founding of the City of Lake Jackson and how it grew.

Our other lunch venue is planned to be The Center for the Arts and Sciences in Clute, TX, which houses an art studio, art gallery, the natural science museum, planetarium, and two theaters serving the community.
